Christine Pearce is a Gunditjmara Elder and artist from Portland. She has worked for many years with her community in a health setting. Having now retired she enjoys devoting her time to developing her art practice.
Christine describes herself as a contemporary artist. Her non-traditional paintings and weavings are inspired by life experiences, nature and, of course, her cultural background.
Saltwater Edge and Beyond is Christine's first solo exhibition and explores her vivid and colourful perspective on the country around her.
